Woman praised for sharing ‘life-saving’ hack to stop feet from hurting in heels

Every person who has ever attempted to wear heels for a significant amount of time knows the struggle. High heels make your legs look slim and muscular, they add height and sophistication, but of course, they hurt like hell.

If you’ve ever wondered how some people get away with flouncing around in heels all day long without flinching, one woman might have just revealed the secret we’ve all been waiting for. Brace yourselves, people.

A woman on TikTok is being praised after sharing her hack for wearing heels for six hours straight and it’s a lot simpler than you might think.

Christy, who posts from her account christyclips, shared a clip of herself spritzing Aspercreme Pain Relieving Creme with Lidocaine onto her bare feet to create a numbing effect, stopping the agonising ache that comes with wearing heels.

“A can of this should come with every pair of Louboutins. Just saying,” one person commented, while another added: “I need to try this. I’m tired of taking it like a champ.”

A third person joked: “It’s actually wild that we’re applying a topical anaesthetic to look hot… Still gonna do it though.”

“Just ordered mine,” a fourth wrote. “You’re now gonna catch me walking everywhere in heels.”

However, not everyone approves of the pain relief method, with one commenting: “You’re basically numbing the warning signs that you’re causing damage. I wouldn’t do this on a regular basis.”

“Pain is the body’s signal for change,” another added.

A third wrote: “No thanks. I’d rather know when my foot has reached its limit.”

It goes without saying that we wouldn’t recommend regularly doing this, as the NHS recommends against over-using lidocaine skin creams.
